Chemistry Mastery System - Implement these 5 steps for success in A-Level Chemistry
1) Understand the Fundamentals
You can't write complex equations or explain trends in reactivity if you don't get the basic building blocks. We'll be using strategic questions and basic problems at the start of each lesson to help you have the foundations in place.
2) Syllabus Recall
Whenever you see a question you need to know what part of the syllabus is being tested here. We'll be showing you which parts of the spec are covered in every question.
3) Application
You need to be able to understand how to apply the content to the exam questions without having to memorise without truly understanding the material. Memory & anxiety is not a good exam combination. So many students try to memorise questions, but when the problem is changed slightly, they don't know what to do. So we will be focusing our lessons with a heavy exam focus to help you with application.
4) Know the mark-scheme
You need to know exactly what points to discuss to gain all the marks, with conscious practising. Exam papers alone are not enough. So many students go through papers without thinking too much... Just going through the motions. When we do our exam question classes you'll see exactly what's needed for all marks and how to "know what you should write down".
5) Spaced Repetition
You need to continuously revisit content in regular intervals to help reinforce content. As the weeks go by, we will be revisiting earlier content and looking at problems with many different topics mixed together.

In these classes I cover difficult questions from the new spec, old spec and my own questions I write from my experience of obtaining a first class in Chemistry from the University of Oxford.
This helps students be prepared for the difficult exam questions that are rushed in school and omitted from textbooks.

With most 1:1 tutors, tuition centres & of course school... Lesson's can't be re-watched. Studies show that students only retain around 10-15% of information from a lesson in school.
